Required Supplies:

– Water-soluble thread.  Thread one bobbin with some of the Water Soluble thread

– Water-soluble pen (blue one)

– 2 fat quarters of non-printed cotton fabric like muslin. If you are going to bring non-muslin, make it non-printed and very light in color. This will help you see what you are doing.

– 1 fat quarter of low loft batting such as “Warm and Natural”

– 1 fat quarter of thick, heavy polyester high loft (3/4”) batting. If you cannot find this then bring regular polyester batting but double the size, as you will be using it in two or more layers.

– Threads to quilt the design. 50 wt, (regular) cotton thread. Any color but preferably one that is a few values darker than the fabric chosen, and one that matches the fabric chosen

– Bring a few bobbins; you can pre-fill them with the same threads that will be used on the top

– Sewing machine and all standard necessary supplies (bobbins, electrical cord, foot pedal)

– Machine feet: ¼” food, Embroidery (open tow) and a Darning (Free motion) foot

– A number of machine needles (70 or 80).

– Quilting gloves if you use them

– Pins and safety pins

– Small sharp scissors preferable with blunt ends

– Grace will bring some designs to practice on.
